The Cherry Blossom Trees around The Cornmill in Coalisland are in full bloom. It’s a pity they don’t bloom for longer as in a couple of weeks they will be bare again.

Day 104 The Story Tellers (Photo A Day 2012)
I was at a story telling session in Art O’Neill’s barn in the town land of Tumpher between Coalisland and Stewartstown. It was a charity event to raise funds for several causes including the Mitre Trust Musgrave Park Hospital in Belfast. Story telling has a long history in Ireland. The”Shanachie” has always been held in high esteem in Irish society and those who entertained us last night did a fantastic job. Art O’Neill himself, Ian Coulter and Patsy O’Hagan were hilarious.
Day 103 Donaghmore Heritage Centre (Photo A Day 2012)
This is the Heritage Centre in the village of Donaghmore Co Tyrone. I worked in this building for a year back in the early 1990’s for an organisation called Irish World who did research into family histories. Donaghmore Heritage Centre is a converted National School (1885) preserves photographs, old school roll books, land registration ledgers, documents, townland maps and artefacts of local interest.
